“The Enlightenment of Candice”

I created this digital art piece by taking a series of photographs and editing them together. I composed the image using a Canon EOS R and captured the subject in a Black owned photography studio. I selected this work sample because it is representative of my aesthetic as a photographer, it illustrates the wellness theme that I explore in my work, and it is recent (2023). Candice is a nurse and holistic health coach in my community who is committed to practicing and teaching yoga for holistic healing. I was drawn to her healing practice and reached out to document her.
